WHO WE ARE

The idea of the CEO and the Founder, Swarnamali Abeysuriya to inform evidence-based results on humanity interventions especially in the south, inspired her to create the Community Interest Company – Research for Development Innovations CIC in the UK. Research for Development Innovations CIC (ReDI) is a community interest organization which has its dual registration now, in the UK as a Community Interest Company at Companies House and in Sri Lanka as an NGO under the Ministry of Defence. ReDI strive to promote sustainable models to end hunger, provide shelter for all, reduce inequality in access to health services, education, economic opportunities, and basic needs for sustain the human life and lift out of extreme poverty by protecting our natural environment.
We respond to the issues and challenges of the most vulnerable and marginalized communities, such as poverty, inequality, social and economic exclusion, food insecurity, inadequate access to resources and livelihoods, inability to cope with and resist natural hazards and climate change, and poor health. We change the lives of these groups in the communities by disseminating and policy influencing based on the research evidence carried out by the organization. In order to prove the real impact on our communities where everyone had opportunity to build a life of dignity, we track measurable evidence for changes through the research. We have the courage to leverage our ideas that have potential to impact on communities without boundaries.
