‘Against Floods’ a community group established by Research for Development Innovations CIC & Ven K Ariyarathana in London in collaboration with ‘ Lanka Matha Foundation’ and Medical Officer of Health (MOH) of Anuradhapura Sri Lanka , donated (school books, pens, pencils, lunch boxes and water bottles ) worth of Rs 3000 to pupils who are floods victims in Anuradhapura District of Sri Lanka.
‘ Against Floods’ collected funds from a group of UK Sri Lankans with the assistance of Lanka Matha Foundation and donated schools books/bags to 60 students. The donation event was organized by the Dr Lakshman Disanayake (MOH), Dr Anuruddha Karunarathne, Dr (Mrs) Padma Bandara as part of their ‘ Akurata Saviya’ Charity Program. Over 60 students were attended and received gifts.
Buddhi Weerasinghe, Director, ReDI passed the best wishes to pupils on behalf of the organizing committee of ‘ Against Floods’ and Dr Lakshman Disyanayake and Dr Anuruddha Karunathilake extend their gratitude to the British Sri Lankan who donated.
